Miamibloco, the sensational samba percussion community, is bringing their vibrant beats and joyful energy to Broward County for an unforgettable 2-day extravaganza at the Hollywood Arts Park, made possible with support from the Broward County Cultural Division.
? Day 1: Feel the Pulse and play with Miamibloco! (SEPT 16th, 4-6PM)
Discover the magic of Brazilian percussion in an engaging, inclusive workshop where everyone is welcome, regardless of musical background. ?✨
Guided by skilled professionals of Bateria Saideira and our musical director, you’ll have the chance to create musical grooves with authentic Samba instruments, all while fostering a sense of togetherness and cultural appreciation.
Let’s drum, dance, and make memories with new friends and neighbors!
Pre-registration is required and the percussion workshop is “First Come, First Drum” *

* The first 50 checked in participants will have the opportunity to play authentic Samba Instruments to honor the Brazilian traditions we uphold. Please no outside instruments.

Join us for a mesmerizing rehearsal and captivating performance by our talented 40-member ensemble.
Witness the dedication, sweat, and artistic process that bring our arts-centered community to life, culminating in a breathtaking batucada performance that will leave you spellbound and inspired to join the Bateria Academy, where we practice to get to the performing level in the Saideira Program.
